In 2021, Radha and Bala planted the seeds of Valegreen Farms with one powerful vision-to grow fresh, nutrient-rich greens sustainably and bring farming closer to the community. As many great companies do, this husband and wife team started Valegreen Farms by turning their home garage / basement into a hydroponic grow room and supplied their fresh produce to friends and neighbors. Spurred by enthusiastic feedback from friends and neighbors, growing demand for local produce, and advances in sustainable, soilless and water-efficient farming techniques, Radha and Bala began to explore commercializing their farm at scale. What started in a humble garage-turned-grow-room soon blossomed into a movement in late 2024. By combining Radha's Electronics Engineering expertise and Bala's IT Software Architecture & Management skills, they built a highly efficient hydroponic farming system that is focused on producing pesticide-free, nutritious & healthy hyperlocal produce. Valegreen Farms evolved into a state-of-the-art, AI-powered indoor vertical farm-designed to: Grow year-round, no matter the season, save 90% more water than traditional farms, and deliver just-harvested freshness within 24 hours.
